Megger Grid Analytics (MGA) is one of Meggers’ business segments that monitors overhead line and cable networks via advanced sensor technology, complemented with analytics based software. The precision capture of power flow parameters are transmitted to a host analytics system via GSM or mesh radio communications and subsequently analysed. This gives accurate and fast insight to network performance and any fault/pre fault conditions/locations that arise which in turn enables the network operator to avert potential failures and/or locate and resolve network issues more quickly.
To expand our Megger Grid Analytics segment, we are looking for a Technical Applications & Field Engineer as soon as possible.

Your tasks:
- Responsible for supporting sales and delivery of Megger’s Monitoring solutions (specifically: online monitoring systems and Smart Grid Solutions), mostly from a technical point of view, for the region of Europe through cooperation with Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Global Industry Leaders, Product Management, Marketing, and Factory Management
- Main duties: Product sales presentations, demonstrations, quotation configurations, project management, project commissioning, technical support, attending trade fairs to promote Megger solutions, customer training, and other ad-hoc tasks to support sales and customers
- Cooperation/input to other teams (back-office/inside sales, marketing, service/repair) to serve customers and Megger strategies
- Work together with customers and product managers to create marketing case studies, technical papers, and industry presentations
- Domestic and international travel approx. 50%
Your Profile:
- MSc in Electrical/Power Engineering or BSc degree in Electrical/Power Engineering plus equivalent practical field experience
- At least 3 years of experience in the electrical power industry, with additional field experience gained to understand network operation and behaviours. Ideally, such experience will have involved systems integration involving various communications protocols into the network SCADA system
- Typical candidates, having graduated in an electrical discipline, will have spent time involved with power utilities and/or their suppliers in a technical capacity with direct customer contact
- Bring a passion for Digitalization, Energy Transition, and a keen proactive desire in keeping close to the ever-changing industry and market changes in grid operations in the power sector
- As a technical member of the sales team, you should possess the ability to highlight product features, benefits, and competitive advantages in order to convince potential customers
- Good communication and active listening skill with the ability to communicate at all levels within an organization and across cultures
- Fluent presentation and language skills: English and one additional European language
- Team player with an openness to feedback and a desire to grow
- Self-starter with an ability to multitask and make decisions
