To expand our Monitoring segment, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager with a background in electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will excel in B2B sales, strategic analysis, and deal closure, leveraging his/her strong interpersonal, communication, positive attitude and role-related skills. This role requires expertise in developing and executing business strategies, identifying market opportunities, and building lasting client relationships.

Your tasks:
- Responsible for supporting sales and delivery of Megger’s Monitoring solutions (specifically: dissolved gas monitors), mostly from a technical point of view, for the region of Europe through cooperation with Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Global Industry Leaders, Product Management, Marketing, and Factory Management
- This means in detail: Achieve sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Conduct industry research to design effective sales strategies
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth
- Promote the company’s online monitoring solutions to potential customers
- Respond to inquiries and build brand awareness in collaboration with marketing teams
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers
- Support team efforts in developing customer lists and setting priorities
- Collaborate with internal teams and external channels to maximize sales efforts
- Provide constructive feedback to the sales team to enhance performance
- Coordinate cross-functional sales activities, including visits to customers planning and virtual meetings
- Utilize financial insights to improve sales revenue
- Assist in creating sales tools, such as quick guides and questionnaires
- Attend technical conferences and other industry events to network with industry leaders
- Participate in business meetings to update stakeholders on progress and strategies execution
- Domestic and international travel approx. 50%
Your Profile:
- MSc in Electrical/Power Engineering or BSc degree in Electrical/Power Engineering plus equivalent practical field experience
- Proven experience in selling equipment and solutions to electrical utilities
- Advantage: Experience in selling solutions to high energy consumption industries (e.g., oil & gas, mining, metallurgy, data centers, electrified rail systems)
- Advantage: Previous exposure or experience with condition based and predictive maintenance strategies for high-voltage/substation equipment
- Advantage: Experience in selling intelligent electronic devices for process monitoring/control and/or critical equipment health monitoring
- Demonstrated success in account development and strategic planning
- Project management and problem-solving
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships internally and externally
- Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication
- Experience working with manufacturer’s representatives, and distributors
- Ability to use CRM software as well as common document-editing and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of a second or (where applicable) third language (German, Spanish, Portuguese, or French are preferred) is a plus
